Remote start

Nope.

Try pushing the lock button and then immediately press and hold the crank button until the the turn signal lights flash or for 4 seconds.

Also there are reasons it won't remote start... CEL on, door open, hood open, hazard lights on, and not in Park.

Well, damn. Have you tried the second remote? I'm pulling strings here.

Well that last question helped solve it. I D
didn't realize I had the second remote in the truck. Doesn't remote start if there is a key in the truck apparently.

Just got the truck yesterday, switched from Ram and finding a few differences in how things operate.

Thanks for the assist.

👍

I should have typed that out also. But the doors should not lock if a remote is in the cab.
This is a smart feature. As my old-man-brain continues to lose traction I find it increasingly valuable, so I’m glad most new vehicles have it.

My Ford Raptor had that feature and it worked great until it didn’t.

Two years ago I provided support for a three day offroad motorcycle trip. We were in national forest about 80 miles from the closest town when I shut the door to my Ford with the keys on the dash… I hit the lock out of habit. Fortunately, the sliding rear window was open a crack, because we were using the truck to power a Traeger BBQ, so one of my friends was able to use a tent pole to fish the keys from the far left corner of the dash.

My issue is the 1st start of the day won’t crank remotely. Subsequent starts afterward - no problem.🤷‍♂️

Is there a setting that needs to be toggled for the remote start to work? Can't seem to get mine to work from the key fob.
Absolutely no issues with mine from using the FOB or GMC App on the phone.
