I don’t think so. I think it’s based off the settings in the truck. I noticed it’s either ac when the inside is warmer and the heat when it’s cooler outside. No temperature specifics

If you leave it in Auto the truck will do whatever is appropriate for the outside temps based on the desired temp you have set. Don’t overthink it.

Doesn't have to be set to Auto. You can physically shut the hvac system off before shutdown. If you remote start the truck, the hvac system will be commanded, on, to whichever system it deems necessary.

Truck will also command the cooled/heated seats, the steering wheel heater, front/rear defrost and mirror heaters if equipped.
