Rack & Tonneau Combo

Check out the RetraxPRO XR. Spendy but will meet your need. I had this on my previous two trucks and have been very happy with it. However for my new AT4 I went in a different direction and ordered a RSI Smartcap EVO Sport.

I’ve been eyeballing the Truxedo Elevate TS rails since I have their Sentry CT. It uses t slots so it works with a decent amount of cross bars. My ideal usage would just be kayaks or maybe a rooftop cargo carrier if needed and still have my bed available for whatever else. I’d have to be sure to get the right crossbars so I could still roll up my cover if I had to.

I have a 2019 AT4 & I purchased the Syneticusa Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover & Rack combo on Amazon. I have installed the tonneau cover & I'm satisfied with it so far. Haven't had any weather to run it through its paces yet, but I have zero concerns with it at this point. I haven't installed the rack yet, because as the OP mentioned I only need it 10% of the time, and that time hasn't come yet! :D I think it might be 50 bucks (or more) cheaper to get it directly from the Syneticusa site than it is from Amazon. Shop both sites first to be sure.
Here's the Amazon link to the combo I got: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B091MDJ..._dp_0NAC8AJBE427W1ZSBZ1X?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
And on the Syneticusa site: https://www.syneticusa.com/index.ph...ynetrac-pro-tonneau-cover-w-rack01-combo.html

That looks like a nice setup. Only question is it looks like it blocks off more of the bed than some of the other retracting tonneaus out there. It would guess it is about a foot? With the short bed we don't have much to give!

Patiently waiting for my build and wanted to reach out to see if anyone has identified a functional setup for bed racks with a tonneau cover. The racks would be on less than 10% of the time. For loading lumber, canoe, and mounting a Thule cargo/ski carrier.
I have been entertaining these BillieBars for mine. I believe they are rated at 500lbs per bar. Come in 5” and 8” raised. With a slight mode I can use with my backflip cover. The customer service team there is very responsive with questions and offering photos.
