Hello All,
Yesterday I completed the installation of my S&B Cold Air Intake. Thought I’d ask here to see if I could get some thoughts around the repositioning of the MAF Sensor. The kit actually comes with an extension harness that repositions the MAF sensor right in front of the throttle body. Actually it’s only a couple inches in front of the TB. I’m wondering why they would move it so far down stream in the MAF pipe? My concern is currently the MAF Sensor is directly across from the PVC return line that enters the MAF pipe. I’m concerned with contamination of the MAF sensor from the pvc system return.
I may eventually installed a catch can but until then, I’m wondering why they would reposition the MAF sensor directly across from the return? I didn’t notice this prior to purchasing the kit.
