I am 30 days into my ownership experience with my 2023 1500 AT4 Duramax. I love the look and overall driving experience, but disappointed with several quality defects. The upper glove compartment box does not open. A new one was ordered, but it's back ordered and one has to question how it was shipped with this issue.

One of the rear parking sensors is faulty. Showing a default on the screen when rear sensors are engaged.

There is a pronounced noise coming from the underside of of the driver side when rolling a slow speed. It believe it's from the suspension, but will hopefully get it corrected when the dealership replaces the upper glove box.

Other issues are more look and feel details such as carpet cut outs and the quality of the welds on the tailgate. Coming from a Toyota, I'm not used to these nagging issues.

Its a $75,000 truck. GMC needs to do better with initial quality assurance.

Same with the GB..... have to smack it.
231 miles my display is out,,,,, getting replaced.
Fit on front fender and bumper is a little off.
My right-hand mirror tries to open for an extended period on occasion, getting replaced.

Thanks to all who responding regarding the fix for the upper glove box. It is as suggested, press the button with one hand while simultaneously pressing or banging down on the top.

Still waiting for the fix re: mysterious sound from the suspension when rolling from a start, the wonky recharge pad and faulty rear parking sensors.

I don't know if you have watched this video but it seems to provide a fix. Although I assume most of your vehicles are still under warranty but if you have one on order you could try this knowing you are getting a replacement.

Thanks for the video. I didn’t want to deal with the dust from the Dremel, so I took a box cutter to it and shaved a bit, tried it, rinse and repeat until it worked. Took me less than a minute to get it working
