I've had a Pulsar LT on my 2021 1500 AT4 now for about 3 weeks. Everything on it works as advertised except the speed limiter! After setting the speed limiter to 140mph, my truck cuts power at 111mph. I have contacted Range Technology and they have created a case number but have not done more than ask for my VIN. Is anyone having this same issue with the Pulsar LT?

Well you got me interested, so I have to ask a few questions:
What are you doing trying to go 140 MPH in an off-road package truck?
And I'm guessing you upgraded tires, what did you go with?
What engine are you running?
Also, I would love to see some pictures of this rig, and maybe even a video of it going these speeds.

And finally, good luck getting this figured out!

Lol, I agree. It’s part crazy and less safe than driving slower, but I would say I find it a bit unnerving that there is even a speed limiter on my truck at all. I have the 6.2 and I doubt the 5.3 is far behind, but as y’all probably know it’s still accelerating when the ECU cuts the power. I’m not sure if it would ever make it up to 140, but on the right long stretch of lonely road I might give it a shot.

Of course all of this is being done on an old runway somewhere in Texas. ha ha

Another problem I have is that back in my teens we were driving well into the triple digits before tires ever had speed ratings so, to each their own on that topic.

I have the 20” OEM rims and tires currently.

That second pic is completely stuck, thank god for the guy following us who had a shovel.

I'm positive it's only there for legal issues.

I have no doubt that the 6.2 could handle that. I wonder how the 3.0 would do... If you do attempt it, please film it. I'd love to see that.

Nice (y). What other mods (if any), are you running/planning?

Rig looks incredible, and dang, that's a lot of snow (especially at this time of year)!

An interesting read for sure. I haven't had any issues with my Pulsar. However, I also haven't attempted the speeds indicated above.
I'll have to give it a go and see what happens. You know...for science and what-not.

Glad to hear your not having any issues. I'm hoping mine is an isolated problem.

Overall I really like the Pulsar LT. I don't spend a lot of time at stop lights so I welcome the start stop delete. I thought I would like the gas pedal sensitivity set to a higher level, but it turns out that the -15% is my preference especially since its easy to change settings on the fly with a flip of the cruise control toggle. I have the DFM disabled and although I am skeptical of my subjective bias, I think there is a fraction of a second less hesitation when I get on the gas when mother Teresa finally decides to GET OUT OF THE PASSING LANE!

I have yet to put on a leveling kit or swap out the OEM wheels and tires, but if/when I do it will be nice to be able to correct the speedometer and odometer. I wonder if people are doing any regearing with bigger tires. My OEM tires are 33" diameter and since this is my commuter I would probably only go up to 35"'s if/when the current tires are due for replacing.

A bit off topic, but that those Rough Country Vertex coilovers have my eye. I would probably just lift the front up a little to level it, but I would love the ability to stiffen up the suspension for commuting and give it a little more play for off road articulation on the weekend.

btw... what part of Utah are you from? and are your familiar with the small town of Croydon, Utah?

Today I am returning my Pulsar LT. It was an easy install, easy to program and everything worked as advertised for me except the Speed Limiter adjustment. I totally understand that many people just don't have a need/desire to drive that fast, but that is one of the reasons I insisted on the 6.2.

So, I contacted Range Technology and they opened a case on the issue, asked for my VIN and never got back with me. Carid.com where I purchased the unit has been okay to deal with, but I wont buy from them again due to their insistence that I "Prove" the unit was not functioning before they would accept a return.

I actually hope I just got a defective unit as I would immediately purchase another Pulsar LT that would effectively raise my top speed limiter as it claims. I would love to hear from anyone who has a unit installed in their AT4 that has been able to raise their speed limiter and has found the trucks top speed. ;)

I had a different issue with mine but after updating all is good again. Did you ever update yours before returning it?

I contacted Range Technology regarding the problem but they didn't say I should do an update and I didn't know that there was an update. They still haven't contacted me with any info after asking for my VIN. I hope the issue was just with my unit, but as of today I have yet to have anyone share a top speed that is greater than the factory limited speed even with a Pulsar LT installed. I like the Pulsar LT and I am totally willing to purchase a new unit after I have seen a few AT4's above the factory limit but I am not asking or encouraging anyone to do anything they don't want to do. :)

I'm currently in West Valley City - It's just outside of Salt Lake City. Croydon, Utah it about an hour away from me. I've been up that way numerous times we've got family up that way in Henefer and Coalville.
BTW - I was able to hit 110mph today in my AT4. I didn't get it on camera though as I was the only on in the vehicle at the time. :cautious:
