I’m one of the unfortunate 2023 At4x Pre-AEV buyers who was very surprised to see the ‘23 AEV version hit the lot right after I purchased. I had no idea, thought it was an aftermarket choice for me.

Briefly spoke with my dealer parts dept and he said he has had several calls as well. He basically told me that besides being price prohibitive, it was not possible. Claims the pre-AEV At4 and At4x front end has as different wiring harness, different front camera mount, and would require having to replace the grille, bumper, fog lights, having to purchase and paint the corner body pieces and misc. hardware and labor.. I was toying with idea as my truck has less than 1k miles and I’ve already done tires, lift and exhaust. Looks like a dead-end road for me unless anyone else has investigated this fully? Thanks

Same boat here waiting to see what aev comes out with June/July …… totally sucks it’s not like the Colorado swap

I was curious about the grille alone. I would like to get away from the satin gray and swap with the gloss black grille.
I have been looking for part numbers for the gloss black & Bronze grille with no luck.

I would like the AEV edition also. I boughth my 23 AT4X on January 4th of this year. Did not know they were coming out with the AEV edition as the default edition. I think I like the looks of the non AEV edition a little better, but would still prefer the AEV edition. Not worth the high cost to changed it to AEV IMO, and may not even be possible it sounds like. Is what it is I guess.

Thinking about just changing out the bronze piece bug deflector area if it’s possible, worst case, could wrap it in satin black, easy to replace etc

After looking at one close, looks like the plastic piece around the headlight and wheel mold needs changed, then you can bolt the AEV bumper up. Might be too much of a pain though. Im sure there will be a very comparable aftermarket bumper soon though. Atbthe very least, I'd like to have the winch...

I may be the only person on the forum but I absolutely prefer the non-AEV bumper and front-end.

I wish my 23 AT4X (build date late Nov 22 I believe) had the AEV bumpers, but I actually like the front non-AEV bumper look better. Still would like to have the AEV bumpers, but probably not for 3 or 4 grand or however much more they are asking for them. As a contractor, it would be nice to have the heavier duty bumpers, though. Then again as a contractor, I should probably have an AT4 HD.

Sadly that parts manager is correct, I have a buddy that wanted to do it, it's not just the grille and upper plastic pieces of the bumper its also the front fenders they are about 1.5 inches wider than the pre-AEV style front end, so sadly in order to do it you are talking 7 ish grand just for the front not to mention the back bumper which would be about 3 grand also, I think GM should've just come out with the AEV bumper or some other more offroad capable front bumper to begin with like the ZR2 did
