Hello all, so I'm new to the forum, going to place an order tomorrow for a 2025 AT4 HD...torn on color selection between black and thunderstorm gray..I've always had black RAMs..1500, 2500 gas and diesel...making the jump to GMC after being a RAM "fanboy" for the past 10 years as I've seen us called on this forum lol. Thoughts on the Gray?

Although black is beautiful clean, it's a pain to keep it that way. I've had 5 black vehicles, 2 of which I still have, and I'm done with black.
The gray looks great, and won't show dirt as easily. I got white because it was all they had in 2021 at the time, and, although I don't care for white, I wash it a lot less than any other color. That's my 2 cents. Let us know what you ordered, and welcome to the GM community!

+1 vote for Thunderstorm Grey

I like black cars and trucks, but they are a real PITA to keep clean. I can't stand how fast they show dirt and paint imperfections.

Let me vote for Black- nothing looks better! Maybe I am partial tho- my truck, wife’s car, boat, sxs, and golf cart black. 😂🤣😂

Ahhh 3 GREAT minuets😂😂. True white does not show, but so many company trucks it looks like. To me, that dang red, it was the worst to get dirty fast.

To make it worse for me, my last 4 trucks have been AT4 or AT4x, so black inside. I have a yellow lab who goes everywhere. So my inside has to be cleaned more than outside. Seems she sheds a dawg a day, all in my truck. 🤣

I've been looking for weeks to find an actual picture of a thunderstorm grey with no luck. I ordered one that color and been desperate to see it

Thanks for all the feedback...now I have one more dilemma...my current truck, RAM 2500 with the Cummins, started having DPF / regen issues last September I paid for a new DPF..about two months ago started going into active regen every day, CEL would come on for P2459 regen frequency...then go off after 4 or five days then a couple days later come back on ...the dealer told me nothing they could do but keep the truck and open a STAR case and throw parts at it...so i started looking for new trucks, found the GMC AT4 and was like that's the one but I'm done with diesel going gasser....so then reading some diesel forums trying to figure out why the code keeps popping as my daily driving habits havnt changed since I got the truck...1 hour drive to work everyday most on I-25

After reading reccomedations...Long story short...added Archoil diesel additive last Friday and DPF guage has not moved past 10% full and not one active regen...passive regen knocks the dpf down to zero way before I get to work...all because of a fuel additive...i was floored...I love my diesel so now my dilemma is really switching to a gasser or going with the Duramax...oh and going with the gray, thanks!..thanks again for all the replies!

I took delivery on my white 2024 2500 HD AT4 this past Saturday and on either side were two 2500 AT4's being picked up at the same time as mine. one was black and one was Sterling Metalic. Obviously I am not a black truck fan but the Sterling Metalic was so darn good looking with the blacked out AT4 trim. It's lighter than the Thunderstorm Gray but if Thunderstorm delays your build the Sterling would be my unsollicited advice for you to consider.

I went with Black. It was my second choice behind white. I ceramic coated the paint with a 7 year product and ceramic tinted the windows to reduce heat gain. I do think white holds up better due to lower temps, but gray would be better than straight black IMO.

I just picked up a ‘24 2500 in Sterling Metallic and I’ve never had so many people comment on how nice it looks.

I went black and ceramic coated myself on 2nd day of ownership. Seems like the road film and dirt is reduced. Tinted the windows.
