Paint Protection Film

Anyone had their front end covered in PPF? I got a quote of $2500 for full hood fenders and the grill/headlights. Seems steep. Just curious what others have done.
I got mine done, I think it's well worth it with all the paint on the front end of these trucks! And that price seems somewhat reasonable, I paid a bit less and also got the rockers and door pillars done in that price.

Thank you - do you know what brand film they used?

I had Xpel Ultimate Plus PPF installed on my '23's front-end (bumper, headlights, fog lights) for around $700. But, that doesn't include the hood. I had the same PPF on my previous truck ('19 AT4) and it held-up extremely well. After 3+ years, my white bumper had no paint damage or rock chips. I'm definitely a believer in it.

I would definitely shop around..... that seems high but you are talking full hood and fenders!
I got Xpel Plus on my front end , mirror caps and front door sills ....only 18" up the hood and fenders though.

Cash was king in my case $1100!

I paid $2300 for Xpel ultimate plus 8mm for full front end including fenders and hood .

Love it . Truck feels bulletproof now.

I spent money on ceramic in the past on other cars and never will again . PPF is the way.

Nice, how long were you without the truck for? It’s takes a few days to install and cure right?

It took 2 full days for window tint and the front end Ppf to be installed .

It then took 2 weeks for the ppf to cure . During that time I couldn’t wash it.

I looked into the same thing and got a first quote of $2500 as well for the front end of the truck and the hood up to the door seams so I'm shopping around a little to see if I can get it done a little cheaper.

Installed the xpel product on a 22R At4 1500, black grill, lights, painted bumper, 18" of the hood and down the fender, and the painted part of both mirrors for $1250 can. It took 3-4 hrs to precut and install the film. The vendor uses a program to precut the pieces. Drove home afterwards.
Started using this shop and 3m film back in 2002. No rock chips on the paint and no sandblasting of the lenses. (y)

My full front is covered. However, make sure the shop you go to has a solid reputation and I highly recommend you clean your paint with either a claybar or something before hand as the shop may end up covering up paint that has imperfections which are removable.

I had front bumper, hood, fenders, A pillars, headlights, foglights, and a 1x1 foot spot in front of the rear wheels done + two front windows with "Ceramic" tint to match the rear glass. Total was about 2300.

I've had another car with ceramic on it and the paint cleaning procedure is much easier than just PPF. I have had zero issues with the PPF covered panels but I had a rock chip my bumper right between the two pieces where there is no PPF on the lower most panel so I got an ACDelco touch up pen to fix it.

I paid around $2200 for a similar package on my car in a smaller city, but I used a top-tier Xpel film and a reputable paint protection film installer. If you're in a major metro area or going with a premium brand, $2500 isn't unreasonable. Do your research and compare prices, but don't sacrifice quality for a few hundred dollars.
