Paint on frame??

I was under my today putting on running boards and noticed what looked like black tar coming off the frame. Started looking and where the frame goes by the oil drain, it has bubbles all over it and they smush like wet, think tar. The other parts Of the frame are sticky and I can scratch w my fingernail and go down to metal. Pretty sure this isn’t normal but checking first.

That is the factory rust prevention coating. It is TRULY material given to this world by the devil himself. Touch that crap with bare hands and enjoy the scrub fest trying to get it off. If GM wanted to do it right...they should've just powdercoated it.

Powder coat hundreds of thousands of frames? Add about 10k to each truck then.
