Any insight, experiences, suggestions? I love this truck and engine but the trucks been riddled with gremlins and disruptions…

Considering trading in for a gasser.

Took it to it to the dealer two months ago and couldn’t diagnose an issue. Ran great for two months and here we are again.

85,000 miles. Oil changes and fuel filter changed regularly.

Any support and suggestions appreciated!

My opinion will generate a lot of hate but it's true. GM 1500's, SUVs and anything but their HD line up is just garbage. Between cylinder deactivation, failing lifters on all their 5.3 and 6.2 now adding a small displacement diesel to the mix that can't be worked on without pulling out the entire cab and notorious oil consumption/ leaking. Also add some quality control issues to top it all.

My opinion is if you aren't going HD and still want a truck, get a 21 or older Tundra with the battle proven V8. or a newer Nissan Titan with the 5.6. Both are much better built and don't suffer from the issues everything else suffers from today. No hybrid trash. No turbo. No DEF. No EGR. No cylinder deactivation, no start / stop.

If you insist on a GM 1500, id stick to 2014 and older. Do an AFM delete ASAP if you go that route and you'll find yourself reliably cruising for many years to go.

Sorry to hear about the issues your having. Luck of the draw I guess ? While I don't currently own a GMC truck or any truck for that matter, my 2018 6.2 1500 Denali never gave me any problems in the short 3 years of ownership. Don't know if I would have been a victim of lifter failure as I no longer own the truck. I agree with you, too much crap on these trucks nowadays; mechanics aren't even working with their hands, just plugging in laptops telling them what to do....lol. My co-worker just spent in the neighborhood of $5 grand on new lifters, cam, exhaust and tune on his 2012 Silverado 1500 ....think it had 70,000 miles on her.
Good luck to you sir. I'm in the market for new truck, sometime in near future.....but don't wanna get stuck with a problem child.
Hearing lot of good things with the newer LZO 3.0 Duramax, not so much with the 6.2's as GM has issued a " Customer Service Campaign" in replacing entire engines for some folks. Oh well....

What is the issue? I only see an image with "Traction Control Off".

I have the 2022 LM2 3.0l and love the engine. I don't have as many miles as you, but so far very happy with the truck.
