Newbie from Central Oregon

Hey everyone... Just picked up my 2026 Sierra 2500 AT4 this week! I've been perusing the forum for a few weeks while trying to decide whether this was the right choice... Obviously it was Loving it so far.

Picked it up in Salt Lake City on Monday and drove it home (~650 miles)... Kim Robinson from Salt Lake Valley GMC was amazing to work with. Easiest car purchase I've ever had - highly recommend. I showed up while they were detailing it, signed paperwork, and hit the road. Easy.

Most weekends you'll find me chasing kids, dragging the trailer around camping, and exploring the great PNW.

Excited to join and start building out my wish list from y'all!

Congratulations Sam, looks awesome. Eugene here but lived in Bend for 7 years. I did the same thing, bought mine over the phone in Texas and flew there and drove it home. Way better experience than any Oregon dealer. We get the shaft out here with limited inventory and shitty dealers. Went to Boise last to get my wife’s car.

Welcome! I bought my 2023 1500 AT4X 6.2 new from the GMC dealer in Salem, but I get it serviced at the GMC dealer in Madras.

I tried to stay local, but just couldn’t. No selection, several thousand dollars more in cost, and I was looking for a gasser.

Thankfully I travel some for work… Cashed in some miles and hotel points. Paid a total of $6 for my travel, plus a tank of gas. Saved thousands. No brainer!
