Hello I am new to the forum and new to owning an AT4. I have a 2022 carbon pro with the 3.0 duramax. The only thing that I have done to it so far is get the windows tinted, and replaced the tires with BFG KM3s. I am thinking of adding a cover to the bed. Looking to learn from here what works and what I might want to stay away from. Thanks for having me!

Welcome, what percent window tint did you go with? I recently installed the Bakflip MX4 on my 23 3.0 duramax AT4. It leaked pretty bad and after warranty claim, they stated it was miscut based off measurements and new cover arrives this week as replacement. If problem remains I plan on returning and going with the more traditional Extang trifold vinyl. This forum is super helpful especially via searching for topics. I plan to do a front end only leveling kit eventually as I like that appearance.

I went with 15% on door windows and back window. 5% across windshield and 5% on sunroof. I was thinking of going with the trifold vinyl just because that's what I'm used to and it seemed to work fine in the past on other trucks, but I really like the roller type but they are a bit pricey for something I will probably never utilize more than once or twice a year.

Thanks, I want to tint my front doors but legally here cannot be more than 35%, which I could still go beyond that and still be fine. I’ve always had the vinyl trifolds too and friends talked highly of the hard trifolds with most recommending the Bak’s. It is more costly (1,250) compared to the trifold extang of 475. There is also a hard folding extang that sits on top of the bed the same as the vinyls.

I too have a 2022 AT4 Diesel, Always had Tuxedo Vinyl roll out in the past with good results. However this time went with a Tuxedo Sentry CT rigid rollup. with a fabric cover. More $$$$ but appears to be worth it. I am not sure they will fit the carbon pro box though. Good luck

I have another friend while not an AT4 but Denali with carbon pro and he has the GMC website hard cover and seems to love it. I like the concept of the MX4 but also loved how easy it was to remove the vinyl cover if needed full bed without it getting damaged or in the way.
