Howdy new friends. Loved the Ram Ecodiesel with Green Diesel Engineering tune, but fell in love with the AT4X AEV in Thunderstorm Grey and wanted to get out of my Ram before 100k miles. This babymax engine stock is so much better than the EcoD and a blast to drive. Ordered a BakFlip MX4 tonneau cover, bed mat, and had the front windows tinted to match the rear along with a visor strip. Looking at the black overlay emblems on Etsy from customlettersdesign, just wonder about longevity with SC weather and sun, though I park in a covered parking deck at work. If anyone has any history with these, feel free to let me know. Next decision is to get the GM high clearance steps or the 4x attachable steps for the rocker bars. Also, if anyone is selling these then I could be interested. DIY ceramic coating when weather is better one weekend; suggestions on product appreciated. Will get the Kicker rear seat sub with my GM points once I get a 20% coupon. I also reached out to GDE and they said they may have a tune for this engine mid year, so I'm curious to see what gains it gives.

Thanks in advance for the insight and wisdom here.

Welcome and nice ride! That said, unless GM has reverted back to the original amp for their kicker sub package, steer clear. I had one and ended up buying a used one with the amp with toggles. Huge difference.

I bought the newer one without toggles and am very pleased with it. Yes, the only way to adjust the bass is thru the head unit but if you're just looking for a little more bump, I think you'll be satisfied. If you want fine tuning control, then you may not be satisfied and with probably require upgrading the whole system which I thought I'd do but for now, am content with it

Glad it worked out for you. It's pretty underpowered unless you crank the volume past 50 percent.

Welcome. I have used 2 ceramic coatings. Gyeon was highly rated and did that one first. I felt like it was pretty much gone around 11 months. That was on a vehicle parked in a garage every night and hand washed about weekly. So switched to Adam’s Advanced. The little bottle that is about $100. 10H. There is an Adam’s Advanced in a spray bottle but it is not the same concentration and costs less. I have been very happy with the Adam’s Advanced. On one car now 2.5 years and water beading is still like the day I applied it. I have it now on my AT4X for over a year and still working great, also applied to our new Lexus GX. The black light feature works great. Allows you to see the coverage as you apply it. I used to spend 2 days every 6 months doing full paint correction, polish and wax on all our vehicles. Now I may only be doing that once every 3 years or so. 1 bottle was enough for both the AT4X and the Lexus suv.

I think the kicker sub is way over priced for what you get. Yeah it will give a little bump but you don’t get your moneys worth at close to $1,000. That really is a terrible price for a plastic molded box, tiny sub, and an underpowered amp you can’t control. You can get a kicker mono 500w rms amp with DSP and anti roll off, that also gives you a control knob to dial it up and down and a 10” or 12” sub of your choice that will work great under the rear seat for about half that much.
