I just switched over to GMC after being a long Ram owner. I have had 6 Rams in a row. My last one was a 19' Laramie. I was looking forward to the Ram 2025's until I saw the pricing and no more V8. I was also looking to try something new. So...I just picked up a 2023 AT4 equipped with the American Luxury package. I love the new truck! There are some things I like and dislike between the brands. Here are a couple that have stood out to date. The 6.2 is pretty impressive. I do worry about all the horror stories I have read on the engine issues. The look of the GMC with this ALC package just looks downright mean. The Ram's Alpine stereo was superior to the Bose. The interiors are pretty comparable. Then Ram did have a little move storage areas. I had the 12" screen in my Ram and it was nice but the 13.5" in the GMC is nicer. Wireless android auto has worked flawlessly so far. I also prefer the horizontal screen to the Ram's vertical orientation. The wireless charging spot for your phone is a great design also. So far I really like the change.

Okay, you got me. What is the American luxury package?

I've heard of the Carhartt, Texan, Alaskan, and some black spider editions, but not the American.

What the hell...no pictures?

Here are a couple pics. The one from the side my trailer is hooked to it so it has a little sag in the rear. That is the correct ALC site you linked. The dealer sends it to them to have done.

I came from the 2019 Ram Rebel 1500 new body style, Loved the truck. Wasn't even thinking about getting rid of it until both exhaust manifolds cracked at around 66,000 miles. Parts were going to be $1,100 installed and out the door. Only problem was it would take 6-8 weeks to get the parts. Deal breaker for me as I work 14-14 in W Texas. I have known the service manager at the dealership along time. He told me to stay away from the 5.3 and 6.2 and showed me a couple he had in the back of the shop with very low mileage due to lifter issues. He steered me to the 3.0 and I have had very good luck.
Here I was worried about the Hemi-tick..........:( never knew about the exhaust manifold issue) LOL,
I will not knock the Ram trucks, more room, very quiet and rode great. , but this truck I have now has been good to me...
I think all of the companies have their issues and I have been super lucky not to be stuck by one of them. The Ram was the one that finally got me after 45 years of driving.. LOL..
