Hello, I purchased my 2022 AT4 1500 6.2 V8 Black Widow at a dealer who took delivery but had their lot for almost 8 months. I got a great deal with extended warranty (72/100,000miles), 2 year maintence, and tire protection for 5 years. Love it, beautiful truck

couple of thoughts:
1) I get a little nervous about the lifter issues, is this overblown? Is this related to the auto stop feature?
2) Only minor issue is the radio cuts out about a 1 or 2 seconds every so often, no matter on Sirius, Apple Play or radio. Is this common?

I Enjoy this forum, appreciate any tips or suggestions. Thanks!

You only hear the negative. You rarely hear praise. Human nature.

Seems like the majority of lifter issues were 2021 and older. Enjoy the truck and if crap happens gm will fix it fairly quickly at no cost to you.

Further, many speculate dfm and/or faulty parts were the culprit for the lifter problems. If you have a refresh (22.5) then yes the audio cut out is a known issue.

GM’s DFM problems persist. It’s a design flaw that they still have not corrected. Percentage wise it’s a small fraction of total units sold, but don’t believe for a second that they have fixed the issue.

They haven’t.

Personally, I believe they design a certain number of units to fail to keep guys like us in the service department or showroom. If everybody’s truck went 300K with basic maintenance, that’s a lot fewer units sold.

All about the Benjamin’s.

My experience is Lot Rot is a real thing. My AT4 sat at the factory for 8 months waiting for chips and it's been one thing after another... Be glad you got the extended warranty and hope your dealer has one of those fancy automatic coffee dispensers. You'll be seeing them a lot.

I have a 22.5 refresh AT4 1500 with the 6.2 and no lifter issues so far. Great truck. I typically shut of the auto start/stop 99% of the time as well.

Audio cut out is exactly the same, had it to the dealer many times for stereo updates, complete radio replacement and just had the amplifier replaced each at a different time and all under warranty but it made absolutely no change. Still cuts out and drives me nuts. Kinda glad to hear it’s a known issue and not just me and would love to hear that have figured out a fix for it.

Enjoy the truck, They are great.
