Just picked this up - love it so far!

Question: Would you get a soft topper or hard topper (camper shell, not tonneau covers)? I'm leaning toward soft due to the ease of taking on and off. Let me know your thoughts and recommendations on brands, etc for both. Thanks in advance!

**Also curious if anyone has a solution for allowing the tonneau cover brackets/mounts to stay on while still having a soft or hard topper installed. Would love to not take off all the tonneau cover hardware to install the topper.

hard top all the way. I have a tri-fold version(Lowmax). Flips up easily enough for 2/3rds access of the bed. If I need full access, it's a 5-minute job w/o tools.

I should have been more clear - apologies. I have the foldable hard cover and love it, but am interested in possibly getting a camper shell and was curious about

A) pros and cons to hard vs soft. I know the soft versions are easier to install and/or take off
B) recommended brands for both hard and soft

no worries, my bad. I don't read so well...lol....

@DenverAT4X - I bought and installed this (see pics). It's an RSI SmartCap. Made in South Africa. Absolutely fits perfectly and love it!

While not on an AT4X, I’ve have had a Soft Topper on my LBZ for years. Not expensive, keeps things dry (not necessarily secure from theft) and is very easy to install / remove.
