Hey All:
New guy here from SW FL. I traded in my 22 F150 Lariat which was a great truck, I just wanted something different. I looked at several truck manufacturers and determined I wanted a 2024 HD Sierra AT4. I don't need a HD as my boat and trailer on weighs about 6800 lbs., I just like the look and feel of the 2500 with the exception of the HUGE mirrors. So, my dealer received a new 2500 AT4 Titanium Rush Metallic on Friday. I went to look at it and decided over night to trade in my Ford. I went back yesterday and made a deal. At the very last minute, they rolled out a Volcanic Red Tintcote. Long story short, I purchased the 2023 AT4X AEV. I would have stayed with the HD but those mirrors are so figging huge and IMO, I do not like the blind spot they cause. I looked for smaller aftermarket mirrors but I could not find any. A part of me still wants the HD, but I just couldn't live with those mirrors. Here are some pictures of the AT4X moment before I mad the purchase.

Question: Is there an option or accessories other the a winch to replace the license frame holder?
Some LED lights would be nice. I did a quick Google search but I haven't found any yet.

You can get the standard 1500 mirrors and put them on the 2500. I know somebody that swaps them back and forth. He pulls a camper for 6 months a year, and hates the big ones but uses them for the camper. He said you just have to get the the ones with the matching functions. If the truck has the push button folding, you get the 1500 ones with the folding capability. There are aftermarket mirrors too, but require a harness adapter. Man, you don't know what you're missing. Towing ~7000lbs with a 2500 is a world of difference. It's something you just don't realize until you pull the same load with a 1/2 ton, then trade to a 3/4 ton. As beautiful and great trucks the 1500's are, I will never go back to towing with a 1/2 ton. I will say there is more ease and pleasure in regular driving around with the 1500, but when towing a good load, they feel downright dangerous, but only after you experience the 2500/3500 towing. That's the best I can explain it.

You’ll get use to the larger 2500 mirrors…the vastly larger interior room is what I couldn’t give up.

I had the 1500 for two days. Although it is an awesome truck, with all the features and man the suspension and massaging seats are ridiculous, not to mention the interior trim, I brought it back to my dealer and told them I made the wrong decision and I really want the 2500. ( I only put 35 miles on it.) They couldn’t have been nicer. Their GM said “make him happy” and they tore up the paperwork and I drove home with the HD AT4. Luckily, I purchased the 1500 on a Saturday and took it back first thing Monday before they submitted the paperwork. I couldn’t be happier!!! Good chance I’ll change out the mirrors though. Yes, they are great for trailering but the blind spot is hard to get use to after only 700 miles.
