I’ve got 13,000 miles on my truck in the stock form and decided it was time for it to go on a diet gonna lose about 200 pounds. I’m probably gonna weigh everything actually when I’m done just to know exactly what the weight is.

This is a two week project. The longest wait is getting the ECM back, which took 10 days for me to get mine back. First photo is stock under the hood. The rest of the photos are pulling the components off. I’ve decided to go with quite a bit of upgraded parts. I went with the VSE engineering oil catch can as well as as their CCV relocation kit. I also ordered Wehrli Custom Fabrication coolant tubes, and thermostat housing (all powered coated) and will be running a 4” stainless exhaust with upgraded down pipe.

Truck is completely done. I weighed every piece that came off of the vehicle and it was a total of 193 pounds truck definitely runs better sounds great and I did a 200 mile drive to see how everything worked out and I was averaging about 18 miles per gallon hand calculated. I wish I could’ve done this within the first week of ownership, but I had to wait until the ECM was able to be programmed. I’m going to change the oil tomorrow and get the rest of whatever sooty oil is left out of my engine.
