I love this truck, but have one gripe with it. The shifter blocks the navigation data (ETA, Miles to dest, etc.). You have to really lean forward to see it. That is something I expect from Ford, not GMC. I don't know if any of you had one of those rounded off Ford F-150's (like 25 years ago) without power windows. You could not open or close the windows without opening the door because the seat butted right up against the handle. I'm 5' 11', so it's not a seat adjustment too far forward issue. This shifter issue is almost as irritating as the window handle. Nobody noticed that during the design??? Other than that, my AT4 is everything I ever wanted in a truck.

Edit: My gripe is not with the shifter itself, it's with the shifter placement blocking the display. I don't mean to make this a column vs console debate. I don't care either way.

Don't have a 24, but I would rather lean than loose the shifter!

I have a '24 (3500HD AT4) as well and my shifter does not block the infotainment screen at all when in "D". I'm 6'3" and my seat is adjusted accordingly for my driving. Not sure why you're experiencing that?!

More importantly - what's up with the "Check Engine" light? Codes?

I too like console shifter, seems to update the truck to me, was glad to see it FINALLY in my AT4x. Wonder why the refreshed inside but not shifter on HD’s

Yeah...I had it my AT4X as well and then sold the truck. Good question as to why they didn't use the same engineering in the HD's!

Back in 2014, I went from a GM to a Ford Raptor- it had console shift. Then when I sold it and came back to GM, first thing we commented on- back in time in the cab.

the 2500 guys seemed to go bonkers at the idea they might lose the column shifter.
I'm noticing that. They probably have their reasons, but I like the console shift, but I'm getting used to it.

The truck is "ON" but the engine is not running. I held in the start button with my foot off the brake, until it turned ON. I was adjusting some of the vehicle settings, which don't work in ACC. I was in the garage, and didn't want it running while I was fiddling around with the settings.

I’m not a fan of the column shifter either. It blocks the volume knob on the radio. I usually use the steering controls for volume but every once in a while.

I also wish there was a push bottom for cameras like on my Tahoe and Yukon. Much more convenient than toggling through screens to find the camera button when trying to park precisely or back up to a trailer.

Could also use upfitter/aux switches or atleast the option.

I like the new interior as well and one of the reasons I purchased my At4 HD, but I think they could clean up a few details.

Just a tip for you you can hold and drag the camera icon to the left bar of “hot icons”. That way it’s always accessible. One of the first things I did because like you I didn’t like going through screens to find the cameras.

That is awesome. I’m going out to the garage to try it right now.
