All, please be on the lookout for my 2020 1500!! It was stolen from the grand parkway park and ride in Katy TX. Please please please let me know if y’all see it anywhere! OnStar hasn’t found it yet… NPL 7947

I’m afraid this is probably true. If it was stolen by competent thieves, the truck is probably in Mexico by now with the GPS disabled and a new VIN number pop-riveted in the dash window. If it was stolen by the more common brain-dead meth-monkeys you don’t want the truck back. I’d expedite the insurance payment and get a new truck.

Or " keeping a positive attitude here", they " borrowed " the truck to fill up the gas tank with good premium fuel, wash/detail it, paint correction, and get a good ceramic coat on it for him. Then it will be all pretty in the driveway in the morning. Geeesh guys, such negative nacy's around here.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if that ever happened, even once, anywhere in the country? Sadly, in thousands and thousands of car thefts, I’ve never seen or heard of the fairytale ending once.

You can always hope. However out of this terrible situation, you can only make jokes, and just do what you can. I agree with your assessment, but you can always hope. Some of these turds that do stuff like this need a blanket party.

Actually, I’ve grown increasingly frustrated with our justice system and it’s lack of effectiveness as a deterrent. I’m ready to adopt a more Old Testament approach.

That sucks man. I had a vehicle get broken into years ago and just the thought that someone was in it made me sick.

I find it interesting that Onstar hasn't found it yet. I thought one of the main features they brag on was knowing exactly where a stolen vehicle was? I even remember early commercials when they showed waiting for law enforcement to be near and then remotely shutting the vehicle down.

This is definitely concerning if OnStar hasn't found the truck yet. Makes me second guess the money I'm paying for that service! Maybe an Apple air tag would be a better and cheaper option.

Apparently GM and OnStar are the same company… I guess if you’re in need of fire or ems it’s good to have, but regardless of what happens next, my vehicle will have some mad max kill switch type theft protection, I will not be placing my faith in the OnStar theft protection division again

AirTag wasn't designed to replace a GPS tracker, so it comes with one major drawback. It can alert the thief about its existence, letting them find the device in your car.

Unless its on older vehicle, most will be out of pocket especially ones with several add-ons etc.
