K&N filter

Has anyone used one yet , do you find it make a difference on diesel, I have them other vehicles n find they do , they’re on sale right now, but I remember reading on another forum that you don’t wanna use a sprayed filter on a diesel? what if you didn’t spray it at all ?
I’m pretty sure that was for people using a so called cold air intake . I also read that people who had those problems over oiled their filters! I’ve been running my K&N for a year with no problems what so ever but then I don’t drench my filter either 🙂

Anyone used the drop in replacement on 6.2, any diff noticed? Not the whole system
Yes, I do! No difference in performance , no loss in mileage but much greater protection and a filter that will last the life of any vehicle that only needs to be cleaned and lightly recharged.

Thanks! Just ordered one. I have used the whole system on my diesels, but figured dropin is all needed for gas burner

Your welcome! The majority of so called cold air kits do not help whatsoever ( pretty much an expensive gimmick on gassers) and that is where people are running into sensor problems on the 5.3 and 6.2. It will also happen with the drop in if the filter is over Charged like I described above.

I’m going to clean mine now lol!

Mmmm… could be a possibility lol!
So, do you have any videos of you “ Chasing Deer” 😜
Well maybe a pic, watched the first one jump the fence! And the last two pics were chases that went my in the end. LOL

Has anyone put the whole performance intake system in for the diesel? If so thoughts on it?

I have watched several of install video's and read up on them. I haven't seen any dyno charts on improvements gained on the 3.0. There have been a few that has even changed the exhaust. It is still very quiet after they installed exhaust.
I think the computer has this engine so tightly tuned, you will have to wait on the BANKS Deringer or something like that to get any noticeable difference out of it. I have a 21 model and currently at 68,000 miles. Love it..

I've been seeing and reading the same thing. Bolt on mods aren't making much of a performance difference for this engine. I'm just hoping the Deringer comes out soon. Rumor is later this year, but I've heard that before.

I have the S&B intake along with the PPE resonator delete and Stillen intake scoop. I would say there is a noticeable improvement in throttle response, worth the money? Probably not but I like the increased engine sound and enjoy doing things to my vehicles so I’m not disappointed with any of it. Edge just released the ezx tuner so if your wanting performance your better off putting your money towards that than an intake imo.

Many people consider K&N systems to be snake oil. I have used one, it did increase engine sound. If you want bolt on performance that you will actually notice look into Pedal Commander or Pedal Monster.
