I installed a IP67 flexible sticky tape led strip under the hood, controlled by a detent switch.
Fender already had a hole that was the correct size. Amazon sellers' kit had enough wire to complete the job and wiring is hid under the hood insulator.
I don't want to give up the 60's, 70's or the 80's, but I wished I grew up with leds. This thing is so much better than what gm had on the square bodies and obs's.
The amount of light blows me away for 5 watts...
Yes, the doors are closed and all the lights are off, cept for the hood light.
Plenty of light to check oil, coolant and maybe put a belt on. Now checking that tranny is another subject. Stupid gm.
