I'd like to take a minute to introduce myself.
You can call me Safetyguy. I live in NW Ohio on the Lake Erie Coastline but am currently working a long term project in Western Michigan on the Lake Michigan Coastline. I just took possession of a 2024 Sierra 2500 AT-4 with a 6.6 liter Gas Engine and the Allison Branded Transmission on Thursday. So far I love it, the BFG KO3 tires are quite and ride very well. I previously had a 2019 Sierra 1500 AT-4 and had no complaints, the 6.2 liter had more than enough power and torque to pull our 34ft RV at any speed with ease. I just needed a little more capacity. I put rear airbags on the 19 as an extra measure. The only issue when pulling the RV, was on extremely hot days in the hills the truck would get a little warm. I realize it wasn't built for pulling big loads as it only has a 3.23 rear gear and the suspension lift. That's the reason for the upgrade to the 2500. The 19 only had 24,000 miles on it, I could have kept it. But we also want to purchase a fifth wheel in the near future.
Thanks for reading.
