Hello AT4 fans!

I am still waiting to become an AT4 owner, but my truck just got coded yesterday, 3300. I ordered the 2500 AT4 Thunderstorm Grey, with the preferred, Tech, and Gooseneck 5th wheel packages. I added some other things, but that's the jist of it. Pre UAW strike, my dealership (Dublin, CA) told me that it would take 2-3 months max for the truck to come in. With the strike, I'm not as optimistic. I did a lot of research on the truck and was pretty happy with my choice. The dilemma is that I don't really tow too much right now and thinking about downsizing to the 1500. I literally flip-flop every day. Tow capacity that I can grow into OR immediate benefits of gas mileage.

I'm looking forward to learning more from all of you and thanks for letting me be a part of a cool group. Oh, I'm from Northern California (Humboldt county)!

If you think you are keeping the truck long term 5+ years, and actually plan to tow for work or an RV, then go for the 2500. If you think the chances are slim then buy a baby diesel 1500. You won't go wrong on the baby diesel. The money saved on fuel, and price of the vehicle can be saved later when you really do "need" the HD truck.

^^^ I agree with the above statement...For the last 10 years I drove a f250 and when the rust started to show up I knew it was time for a new truck. I liked the 1500 with the 3.0 (baby) diesel and test drove one. It was just too small inside the cabin for me…guess I got use to the larger and more roomier HD trucks. I ended up getting a 2024 GMC 2500 AT4 HD 6.6L gas…very nice truck.
