Evening everyone,

Brand new to the AT4 game. Just purchased a 2019 GMC AT4 Sierra Crew Cab, Standard Box with the 6.2L. Love the truck so far, but I’m curious about what the idle RPM’s are supposed to be. My idles at 1000k RPM’s. Then when the auto start/stop activates it drops to 500, not zero. The gauge cluster does not display the auto start/stop in the tachometer like I’m normally used to seeing. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Plan on doing a lot of off-roading with the truck and I’d like to work out all the kinks before I take it out.

Welcome.

This is my idle RPM’s after warmed up. Normal or not?

Video of it actually happening.

Was there any work done to the truck by the first owner? Any tunes etc. ?

Not to my knowledge, the speed governor is still in place and doesn’t drive a vehicle that had a tune on it. Although the 10 speed transmission seems to hunt for gears at times and the truck will surge sometimes with the cruise control set.

Do you have anything plugged into your OBD2? You might have an AFM/DFM disabler on

I have done nothing to the truck. To my knowledge it’s all completely stock. It goes to the dealership on Monday. Keep yall posted.

Update,

Apparently the truck was made in Canada and this is all normal. Also I found why I cannot turn my headlights off while driving at night, it’s programmed like that as a safety feature from Canada. Moral of the story, buyer beware. The service righter couldn’t do anything about it.

Extremely upset about the whole situation. I’m being told the only way around this is to have the BCM tuned to give me the option to turn the lights off while driving (it’s seems dumb, but I have the need to do this). Any tips or tricks would be helpful for the tuning adventure.
