Hello,

We have a 2024 3500 AT4. When we took it in for service they did the recall for the trailer brake issue. Our truck never had a problem before the recall and we tow a lot!! Since they replaced the module for the trailer brake controller we now have the problem. Grrrrrrrr

Anyone else experience this? We dont have solar on our trailer but we have an EOH Brake system. Im finding out that the recall fixed the solar trailer battery issue but is causing problems for owners that have EOH Braking systems.

Our daughter was towing her horses through a pass and the brakes went out in the trailer and it was terrifying.

Dealer is involved....talking about making a change to the 2025 model but am also wondering if it has the same system that the recall is? Anyone know?

Welcome.

Pain in the ass, but try removing the 12+ trailer power fuse under hood and give it a try, somewhere safe and be expecting brake failure still.

Mine has been OK since the recall was done, but haven't towed all of my trailers yet. I did tow heavy yesterday with the same dump trailer that almost pushed my beast into a dividing wall. I was super cautious, but had zero brake failures. Sucks, but hearing these stories and experiencing brake failure myself REALLY has me paranoid. Enough that I'm checking the brakes every 5 mins with the controller.

Thats not good news. My 5th wheel problems are gone since the recall. Solar as you mentioned, but I haven't pulled my trailer with EOH brakes.
