Interior lights won't turn on when doors open?

I just picked up my new at4x and I don't know if I pressed a button somewhere or I'm missing something but my interior lights won't turn on when I open the door? They turn on if I press them, but don't automatically turn on when the doors open which I thought is a little weird but didn't notice until it got dark out tonight.

Am I missing a setting or button somewhere?

There’s 2 buttons up by the sunroof and rear window controls. One says on/off which is to turn all interior lights on and off and then one that has a car with a door open /off. That one enables or deactivates your interior lights when a door is open.

Just a note my switch that controls them coming on when doors are opened was set to off when I received the truck. Definitely check that as I was surprised it wasn’t on.

Yeah I have found that most dealerships do that to help prevent batteries dying on the lot. A lot of places don’t lock up the vehicles so the doors get opened a lot between engine starts

My local lot the same, I was amazed that all were left unlocked. Seems like thugs would know this and come steal a lotta stuff. The trucks I test drove had to be jumped off for dead batteries. The salesman said those lights and now moving running boards kill batteries
