Infotainment - Default & Secondary Phones

I recently purchased a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X. I am having problems setting a "default" and "secondary" phone. I used to own a 2020 and I could connect both my personal, and my work phone to the truck. The default would work with android auto, outgoing, and incoming calls. The "secomdary" would work for incoming calls only and ring over the speakers.

On this new system, it gives me the option to connect multiple phones, however it makes me switch between which is connected to the truck. I have seen some articles that address this issue in the "settings/system/phones" settings. There is not a "phones" setting if I follow that directory tree. I can access my phone settings from the home screen, but again there is not an option to set a primary and a secondary phone. Am I missing something? Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.

Did you ever get this to work? I was able to in my 19 but not my 24 and this really sucks. GM seems to have dropped the ball or hidden how to make it work!

My 24 2500HD permits adding a second phone although it only permits one to be actively connected.

Yea that's what the 1500 is doing but the older ones let both phones ring in and answer you picked the one to dial out on.

gm is having a hard enough time with global B platform.

Yes.

I get FM whenever I venture to those there big cities. Thank GOD for Pandora and unlimited data!

If I ever listen to FM, its usually channels from around Vancouver BC, good reception even south of the border here. I use Spotify and unlimited data! Can I plug in my Ipod into a usb port? Never attempted that; I use my iPod in my mercedes; most of my music collection is on it; and its not even carplay.
