Incorrect temp display

I did notice my temp guage being incorrect the other day, but forgot to check again. I will today. You can turn off the heated wheel and seats in the settings. I didn't like the auto starting. I prefer to turn on as needed. They don't take much time to get warm.

I have noticed that my outside temp gage runs at least 5-6 degrees higher than calibrated thermometer. Not sure what difference it makes..

I'm having the same issue. Just happened today and I've tried restarting the infotainment system and the truck with no luck. It needs the software update so that may be part of the problem. Any suggestions.

I’ve had every update there is for the 2024 HD AT4 and still runs high compared to calibrated thermometer. Might be thermometer location?

I feel like the outside temp on all of my trucks in the past, including my current 23 AT4X, usually run a couple degrees above what it actually is outside. Always figured the sun, or engine heat, could be reasons for this. So if it says 34 degrees, I figure it is probably 32 degrees outside. I have no idea where they locate the guage for this on our trucks.

The sensor is underneath the drinkers side mirror. You'd think it would be correct on the shadowside of the sun, but it's not.

I'm guessing gm thinks it's close enough, like a gernade.
