2021 AT4 with the 3.0 Duramax.
Rolling stock 20's
Just bought the Ready Lift 1.75" leveling kit.
Want to ask the experts here a few questions before I go down the rabbit hole:
1. Can I assume this will only raise my cab by 1.75"? (I want to park in my garage and not modify my overhead door - yet)
2. Considering having my rims powder coated - anyone else do this? (see profile pic - I think GMC actually made these all black in 2022)
3. Adding 285/60 r20 to those existing rims. - appreciate all the feedback about rubbing, mudflap delete, etc.
4. Any other potential things I need to consider here?

Trying to do some subtle changes here and still be able to park my truck in the garage. (Texas hail) Love the look of the leveling kits I've seen here. Thanks for your feedback.

You should be able to fit under a 7' garage door with that truck and level kit. 33.4" tall tires shouldn't be too tall.

I had a 2020 AT4 with 1.75" front level and Airlift airbags in the rear on 33.2" tall Nitto RG R20 tires and that truck fit in my 7' garage door.

Good to know. The dang satellite antenna sticks up another 1.5". I am going to have to adjust my door to retract a bit farther, but that is doable.

Yeah, I have always had my antenna hitting the top of the garage door with my trucks.

I haven't ordered it yet, but found a 13" tall aftermarket antenna on Amazon I may buy. Looks pretty good quality. I think it was $30, which seems kind of pricey, but probably isn't. So you could consider a shorter antenna as a option.

There should be plenty of at4 factory wheels in black for you to get an idea depending on what color you are considering. I powder coated my 2022 factory wheels gloss black which I believe was the same color as yours but are a different style wheel than yours. I didn’t care for the original color combination with my blue truck so I had them powder coated. I spent 500 to get them done including lug nuts. I like them way more now. However, I liked the design of my wheels so changing the color worked. You just need to vision what yours will look like before you spend the money. If you don’t like the style of your wheels then a new color may not do the trick. It’s all preference so good luck. Also, love my 1.75 Ready left leveling to answer your other question.

I think if you are currently parking in your garage it should work. Tell me if I am wrong guys. The leveling kit should just be leveling the front top of the cab closer to what the top of the back of your cab. Or have I had too many tonight?

No, you are right. A 1.75" front level (if it actually even is a true 1.75", usually it is a tad less than advertised), should theoretically only raise the middle of the truck by half of that.

But since the front of the cab is closer to the front wheels than true middle, call it raising the front of the cab by 1". Then add in whatever extra height non-stock tires would add, if you have bigger than stock tires. So most AT4's come with 32" stock tires. If you put 34" aftermarket tires on (for example), you should only gain an inch of actual height from the tires (2 divided by 1).

That would be a full 2 " higher at the front of the cab/hood. Even on a stock/factory lifted AT4, which is 2" over non-AT4 Sierras, adding only 2" to an AT4's height should (and will) fit under a 7' garage door. And even at 7', the actual height of the garage opening is a little less than 7', depending on how the garage door frame was bucked out. Also, often the garage door itself is usually not 100% up to the top of that height. So say, 6'-10.5" for true clearance on a 7' garage door opening with the garage door and bucked out frame. These AT4's will fit in those openings. It will be tight, but they will fit.

BTW, if I ever build another house again (always built my own houses as a builder/contractor), I will NEVER have less than an 8' garage door opening for height. 7' is common, was the norm, but getting less so, for good reason.

Awesome! Your rims look great. Thanks for the feedback.

I have had rims powder coated . Always worked out well for the projects/builds that I was working on.
Set of 4 typically runs $600-900.00 in my area.

I had the wheels and bead lock rings done on my TRX a couple months ago .

Powder coating looks nice.

How do you like the TRX compared to the the AT4X? I looked into a new TRX for a short bit... until I saw all of them were listed well over MSRP, at like 105 to 110K! It's certainly a nice looking truck, and I am sure very powerful/fast with that supercharged engine.

It is a super nice truck. Sounds, rides , drives, all in all really an awesome truck .
Mine is more or less a big ole garage queen.
Only comes out on nice days, to tool around in.
I have taken it on a couple road trips, pulled a few trailers, not totally living a sheltered life. It now has something like 4200 miles on it at 2 years old.
But for the most part I respect how rare and special they are, It normally just sets parked next to my 2005 viper SRT10 truck.

‘My AT4 is my daily driver, and my GMC 2500 HD is my work horse.

You have a very nice collection of vehicles!

The TRX's are rare. I wanted to test drive one, but couldn't find one to test drive. Then I saw the asking prices dealers were listing them at and decided to just not bother. If they were going for MSRP, it would have been a consideration, but not 25 to 30k over MSRP.

Whenever you decide to sell it, I am sure it will have held it's value quite well!

Ready Lift 1.75 done! Rims/Tires in a few weeks. Narrowed it down to 2 Fuel and 1 Method 20x9s, think I’m going with the Toyos on the rubber.

I’m going through exactly what you’ve just done but I want to keep my stock wheels. Any advice? Can I go bigger than 275/60/20 with the 1.75” leveling kit? Thinking K02s but not going to buy until I figure out what my wheel situation is. I’m not up for buying new wheels and don’t want to rub if I can avoid it.
