Just got an idash pro so I could monitor regen status and soot levels and trigger a regen when it was close and I knew I'd be driving for a while. We'll no where on the website or instructions does it say that feature isn't available for the 24/25 duramax but it's not there. I called tech support and confirmed, you can't do it on a 24/25. With I'd know ahead of spending $500 on a the guage.

Welcome.

Did you happen to ask tech support if'n they are working on it and will be a later feature set?

I’m pretty frustrated with the emissions system. Why couldn’t GMC come up with an alert function that prompts “Regen Needed Soon” so we could plan and add a few minutes to a drive? @R467X does the iDash do a good job monitoring your soot buildup vs regen threshold? IE, does it show DPF @ 95% “full” so you know you need to drive a little further to trigger the regen?

Unless your pulling heavy or alot of stop and go with your foot into the smoke pedal, 95% has alot of mileage left before a regen will occur. Atleast 40 miles and then, what, another 20 miles to complete?

I have no idea when/if a regen occurs in my truck and quite frankly don't care but that's me; if it was that important some alert would come up.

This is how I have mine set up. It is fairly accurate once it hits 100% it'll start a Regen within a few minutes. What I don't get is seeing it go down in real time during a Regen. Once the regen turns back to OFF then the "RG %" resets to less than 10.

I would agree that at 95% there could be somewhat of a distance for it to get to 100%. A lot is also dependent on your exhaust temps and whether you're loaded or not. If I'm stuck in traffic the 95% will get to 100% much sooner than if I'm going up a hill etc.

My regens also take roughly 30 miles to complete. I have a gas alternative so if I'm at 90%+ I won't drive my truck until I know I'm going a significant distance to make the Regen happen without wasting my time and money.

I also suggest never idling your truck in actual idle and taking advantage of your high idle switch. My regen distance and time increased significantly as a result. For the record i try not to idle period but when I do it's high idle

They wouldn't commit to any release, said it was like an iPhone l, there would be future updates.
I suspect this global B trash will take many years to crack and we may find ourselves in a similar situation to the newer Cummins where if you wanted to do something, you'll need to pay for an older model ECU.

Get your money back and buy an Edge Insight CTS3 monitor. It does it all and you can add tunes later if you want. Mine works quite well.

Edge makes good stuff. With how expensive the current banks idash is, id probably choose edge over the banks. I got lucky when I bought mine and got the most basic version of idash that I don't see them sell anymore. I definitely wouldn't pay the $400+ figure just so I can have Bluetooth app functionality.

I'm wondering if I can run my Pedal Monster and the Edge at the same time. I think I'd have an ODB conflict.

You probably can run both separately if you got a splitter for your obd2 port

I installed the idash pro and pedal monster yesterday. I am going to get set it up shortly and see what I think. I had the "classic" iDash on a 3.0L and it worked well for what it was and I was able to trade it in on the upgrade. I would be on the fence about purchasing outright due to the cost.
