I’ve had my Banks iDash Data Monster for about a year. I couple of weeks ago I read that I as an existing owner of the Classic iDash Banks would sell me the new iDash Data Pro at a 50% discount. Banks confirmed that I could use both the new iDash and the older iDash classic in a dual configuration, so I picked up the dual housing as well.

The improved resolution is noticeable but not dramatic. You can see in the image (Data Pro top, Classic iDash bottom) that both gauges are easy to read.

The breakaway feature of the new iDash for me is the Bluetooth interface with the Banks app. Being able to adjust gauge settings and update the firmware from the phone is a great feature.

My one disappointment is that the iDash Pro doesn’t talk to the iDash Classic, so the app cannot be used to change settings on the older iDash.

Thanks for the information! The new derringer for 2025 has just been released, and I would like to order it along with the pedal monster. Presumably, before the second gauge, you were only using the older model. Is there a significant advantage to having two gauges with additional displayed information? The Bluetooth interface seems capable of functioning as a second gauge if needed, or at least allowing for easy changes to the displayed information. What are your thoughts?

The only advantage is showing more information without having to flip between pages. I bought the second gauge because Banks was offering a discount and I wanted some of the new features. I generally cannot be bothered selling my old stuff, which is why I went with the 2 gauge set up. If i was starting from scratch Id just go with one of the new gauges

Do you still run the set up above? Is that what you typically monitor? I am trying to get feedback and set up the most advantageous monitoring screens to give me the feedback that matters. Thanks!
