First time hauling real weight in the truck bed this past weekend. I was at payload capacity with me my riding gear, camping gear and two motorcycles. The truck did great never bottomed out but it does sag in the rear to the point I feel like I’m driving uphill. So I ordered a pair of Timbren helper cushions to even the truck when loaded like this. I had the same thing on my last Tundra.

920 miles round trip and the truck averaged 16 mpg. I’m not gonna complain about that. Plenty of power and the comfort in it is just real nice.

That's great to hear! Are you running the Wrangler Territory MT tires?

Yes I am the truck is totally stock on wheels tires and suspension.

Nice, how's the road noise?
I hear them but they are not loud to me. The KO2s I had on my GMC Denali HD truck were very loud by comparison.

Well installed the Timbren kit. I have 3” gap from bottom of Timbren to top of axle flat spot. That does not seem right according to the general instructions which indicate I should have 1” to 1 1/2”. Called Summit racing where I bought the kit and no help. Verified I did order the correct kit called for in my truck. He told me to contact Timbren and see what they have to say. Seems I need another 1” spacer on this X truck. Amazing these companies just sell stuff without ever seeing if it works on the truck and just put that truck in the list the kit fits.

It may be correct I do not know I’m not going through a hot sweaty ordeal to load two motorcycles in the bed to see what the timbrens do compared to the sag it had stock. I just think dropping rear 3” before I even touch the timbrens I’ll still be nose high.

I've had Airlift 5000 airbags in my last 3 trucks. The AT4X absolutely rides better and softer than any truck I have ever ridden in or drove, but the downside is a lot of sag with trailer weight - significantly more sag than my 2020 AT4 had before I put the Airlift airbags on that truck.

The Airlift 5000 airbags do make the truck ride a bit stiffer, even when they are set at a low pressure, but not so much as it ruined the ride. I also installed the wireless Airlift compressor for the airbags, so all I have to do is hit the Airlift remote and pump them up to my desired pressure. I normally drive at 8 to 10 psi, pump them up to 25 psi when pulling my 16' enclosed job trailer (it weighs in at 6 to 7 K lbs as I normally have it loaded to the gills, literally, and also have 15 different ladders either inside or on the ladder racks).

I considered the Timbren helpers, but have had very good luck with the Airlift airbags, so stuck with those again. They are kinda needed on the AT4X with these soft shocks.

The spacers will work fine
I have Sumo Springs but very similar as Timbrens actually they have larger spacer to keep the gap at 1” or less Works great for me

I have a message sent and a call into Timbren, nothing back to me yet on this.

Timbren replied and after I sent pictures with the tape measure in the pics they are sending the necessary spacers and longer bolts out no charge to me. Seems I am the first to install these on the AT4X and they had no idea their kit wouldn't work on it correctly. Even though it was listed as a straight fit out of the box same as AT4 and regular Sierra 1500s up to 2023.
