Wanted to share pics of my new handgun mount in case any of you are in the market. $40 from A-Tach and it’s vehicle specific.

Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Handgun Mount

Gun hangs snug and is perfectly out of the way of my leg.

I really like that, keep mine in the console driving but that is way more accessible.
Wonder if its going to scratch the dash?

You could hang beef in there on your AC setting....hahahahah

I really like the gun mount, Thanks. I REALLY LOVE the a/c temp, bout where mine is when comes off low👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Install pretty easy or have to take off panels?

Crazy easy install, and shouldn’t scratch based on how it grips (from what I can tell). Comes with a panel tool but I just used a wide flathead to slightly pry the panel gap wider so the top lip of the metal bracket could properly grab on/ slide in. It has a little double sided tape inside the bracket along the top and bottom, but I’d wager that’s more for alleviating rattling and squeaking noises than it is for adhesion/structurally holding weight. The curvature of the metal bracket fits snug enough to hold the handgun all on its own.

I cannot find a holster that clips there securely and I do not wanna drill holes. What kind did you use?

I never understood the concept of mounting a firearm to your truck. To each their own, but why not just wear it if it’s out and lock it down when it’s not. Maybe for guys who don’t (or can’t) AIWB? Like I said, to each their own-I just don’t get it.

Depending on how a person conceals, the tool might not be accessible in a seated position, along with the seatbelt law. Mounted to a firm object within arms reach is plan "b".

EXACTLY PLAN B! If I have pants on I have at least one gun one me, usually two. Also, these handguns are simply my ”hold off” guns till I can get under the backseat for the real firepower.

It's very difficult (and slow) to draw a firearm from the seating position weather you carry it inside (IWB) the waistband or outside (OWB) the waistband. Assuming one would have to deploy the firearm quickly in a situation while inside the auto, carrying concealed on your body is not the best way to do it. Carrying it in one of the mounts shown is more practical, but then would you need to transfer the firearm to your holster when exiting the car because we NEVER leave our firearm in the car. I find that carrying my firearm at the appendix position is most comfortable while sitting and makes for a quick draw, if needed and then exiting the vehicle it can be adjusted so it doesn't print. I know in New York State, concealed means just that, out of sight from people.

Very much same! I’m 2/2 today

You can also attach a holster to the side. Keeps it more concealed and at a good reach.
Vehicle mount
This is how I mount mine. Much more accessible when driving. When ever I exit the vehicle, I swap to my worn holster. Easy peasy. I prefer the G-Code mounting system...no holes.

I get it and whatever people want to do in their vehicle is cool with me. I personally have trained to draw from the appendix at the seated position and can do it very effectively. I just don’t see the need to mount a firearm externally in my truck for a few of reasons. Collisions, kids, and handling a firearm (transferring to holster) with one in the pipe more often than necessary. But I do agree with having the plan B for sure and being at the ready is a good thing no matter how you do it.
