I have a '22 AT4 1500 with the 6.2 and towing package. I have been looking for a decent 3/4 or 1 ton (very used) farm truck to haul my tractors around for the last couple years with no luck so I am looking to get a pintle trailer or single wheel tandem axle gooseneck to haul my JD 5310 4WD and bushog and disc within a 20 mile range, mostly within 10 miles. Weight or the load should be around 3 tons.
I had an old Chevy one ton years back for hauling my larger tractors and have pulled larger tractors for others with 3/4 tons and goosenecks.
Seems that the 1/2 ton would pull better with a goosneck vs bumper pull., though the trailer weight itself would be more.

Anyone have experience with this? Airbags, perhaps?

I've been pulling a little over 7000 lbs (Trailer + load) short to medium distances (200-500 miles) with mine using a WD hitch. The truck does well, but I'm considering adding air bags.

In theory a gooseneck would do great, but weight is the big problem. Not a lot of light goosenecks out there and the aluminum options cost a fortune. I'd consider just getting a nice 10k bumper pull and WD setup.
