Hey Fellas,
I'm blowing the horns to call all offroad enthusiasts who have had similar troubles allocating weld on or bolt on rock sliders as the 2022+ AT4X AEV and stock OE options are body mounted and not mounted to the frame, thus they are more ornamental than functional.

I have used RCI Fabrication in the past for my off road vehicles and am and have opened a manufacturing ticket with them. Their response is that their request volume has been low on the GMC Sierra 1500 platform. For those interested, let's pile on and get some better options manufactured for our platform.

Please email the sales team out at RCI Fabrications and let's get the ball rolling together! I am working with a Josh Palmer over there.

I think frame mounted sliders would be awesome! I will say though, I have used my factory ones lol. They've supported the entire weight of my truck on stumps, rocks, etc... and still holding up just fine. Are they as good as frame mounted? No, but they're definitely more than just for looks.

Same here, they have saved my truck on at least 3 or 4 occasions. Entire weight of the truck, and rock sliders on a rock. I agree they would not be as robust as a frame mounted slider, but i have to say they work, and work well.

This is great to know! I may consider the factory AEV options then I can't find a reputable fabricator to roll the dice on GMC Sierra. I was just looking at the thin mounting brackets and knowing they just attach to the under body, had my doubts.

Just curious what direction you went? About to pull the trigger on an AT4X and would appreciate an RCI option.

I actually have not yet purchased a set of sliders yet. But am happy to trust the AEV stock ones. If anyone has a set for sale, I would love to buy them. Also considering of brands that seem less appealing line go rhino... But would rather go for something more robust than that
