Does anyone know if gm part number 19433763 is the borla touring or s-type exhaust. Looking for the touring for my wife's new yukon xl and she really isn't a fan of my S-Type on my AT4X. Want to buy from GM only because of warranty reasons. (I know I know shouldn't be the reason why but the price difference between borla's website and GM isn't that much). Anyways any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Does GM have both now? When I got mine, they only had one Borla exhaust listed. Good Luck!
Well for my 23 AT4X there was two different types, not clear spelled out but there was the S-Type and Touring (Touring was believed to be labeled GM Performance.)

See it has not changed😂😂, got mine from GM (same here, wanted it under warranty). No one could tell me which type I was getting, just Borla. Got mine for a 2022 AT4x. At least GM is adding options.

Got mine through SS-Exhaust online and it is the Borla touring system and talked with Service manager where I bought my truck and he said no issue with warranty from us on an exhaust as long as the CATS remain in place which they do with the Touring system. Grand cheaper from SS verses GMs over priced system. No brainer for me. It has been on there a couple of weeks and sounds great and I installed it all myself. 2023 AT4X

Perfect thank you very much. So you can confirm that the GM Part # 19433763 (Black Chrome Tips) and GM Part # 19433761 (Chrome Tips) are the touring? I mean I know they are Borla because the description says as much. Just curious if it is touring or s-type.

On my AT4X they had the S-Type (Not spelt out as such, but is) for much cheaper than the other option of the GM Performance.

I called the Borla offices in TN and they confirmed that the GM listed Cat Backs (black tips for 6.2L - which is what ordered and have currently) is the S-Type. Before Borla confirmed, I had called 5 dealerships and not one could tell me (which is odd since they sell it). They sound so good on the highway too (no droning). Neighbors aren’t happy when I leave for work at 4:30am, but you know. :D

Thanks but I am assuming that was for your Sierra and not a Yukon correct?

Ah, yes, for my Sierra. I didn't see an option for the Yukon, but the lady at Borla said "we only contract the S-Type Cat Back system to GM...not the ATAK or Touring." (paraphrasing, but almost exactly this). I will caveat that by saying it was in reference to the Sierra. Now I am super curious too.

Interesting. In another thread it was said the opposite. I know the GM Performance branded one was a lot quieter. I love my S-Type but think the wife would kill me if I put that on hers lol. My 23 AT4X is great with the S-Type, BUT tend to wake up the kiddos at 545 when I start up to leave for work. I think my wife would be happy with touring, and I will be happy with a little bit of a rumble lol

This is what I ordered in the Touring setup straight from SS and they confirmed it is the Touring system. If you want loud this is not the system but cold starts are throaty and when you mash on the pedal. Any other time you hear it just not that much. Perfect for what I wanted. I listened to videos of the S-Type and ATAK over and over and went with the Touring. Just no way I was paying GM $2500 for it. It shipped to my house in like 3 days and was well boxed straight from Borla in a Borla box. It shipped from Arlington TX location and I am in Ms if that helps but SS is in Montana and there was no shipping or tax added to my order. What is in the link is what I paid. My AT4X does not have tailpipe tips my exhaust is tucked up under the rear of the truck. But look on the SS website they offer several systems for the 6.2L trucks.

My S-Type for my 23 AT4X only cost like $100 more than that touring at ss-exhaust.

On a side note I went by the dealership and the parts guy called Borla and they told him that the exhaust for the part numbers I mentioned in the original post were neither touring nor s-type. It is a special special exhaust that Borla made for GM and is closer to the touring than the S-Type

During my search for exhaust, I too called Borla and some rep told me same thing- one we built just for GM and gotta get only thru GM. He went on to say it was different from others, just custom for GM. Hard to believe that they produced diff mufflers and sound just for GM 1500 trucks.

I agree, but that also helps GM charge so much lol. In the end they said that it was closer to the touring sound little more aggressive but not as loud as the S-Type. In the end IF I am able to talk the wife into it, I will get it.
