GM performance exhaust questions??

Hello all, I’m a new owner of a 2021 carbon pro AT4 with 6.2L. Loving the truck, the 6.2L and 10 speed is a blast to drive. My truck came with the GM performance borla touring exhaust. My question is the exhaust restricting and loosing power or torque on my 6.2l because the tube size is 3” and tailpipes 2 1/4”? The factory size exhaust is actually larger 3 1/2”. Very curious why the performance exhaust such a small diameter.

gm/borla claim 40% less back pressure and gains up to 13 hp and 7 lb.-ft. of torque. with the change of the muffler and removal of the 2 resonators it must open it up regardless of the smaller tube sizing.
