For those who have been through the process, how was it? Did GM cooperate, did you have to arbitrate / lawyer up?
Last Wednesday they called me to say it was fixed and ready for pickup. I brought it home and as soon as I got out and looked underneath I had 2 puddles of oil. They towed it back for another try. It now has 108 miles on it; all of which are to / from the dealership to my driveway.Yeah, I've been following. Haven't seen an update on the second try fix with a dealer repair.
Yours is a 2024, I assume? Gas or diesel? What symptoms were you having with your transmission that led you to take it in?Having to look into this myself. Transmission issues at 600 miles. They replaced the valve body didn't fix it currently "waiting" on GM for other solutions and approaching 30 days that the dealership has had my vehicle. The Lemon Law varies by state. Along with the attempts/days in shop a written letter to the manufacturer with the documentation of attempted repairs must by sent in.
YIKES! Your post doesn't give me much confidence in the $74,000 truck I recently purchased. I wasn't even able to drive my truck home the day I bought it because the transmission was bucking so wildly I literally thought someone was running into me. Come to find out it had a bad "valve body." How is that even possible on a brand new truck? They replaced the valve body the next day, and I haven't had any problems....................with the transmission since. Then when it got cold enough to need the heater, the smell of exhaust fumes in the cab was so overpowering I was unable to drive the truck. Come to find out, there were seals missing in the exhaust system. I think GM has a quality control problem.
I sure hope you get things worked out with your truck. I know it's very frustrating.
