Greetings everybody ! So I am upgrading my suspension to Fox 2.0 shocks front and rear and since I am going in for a routine service I scheduled the shocks to be put on too. I am kinda second guessing having them do it at the dealership because the woman I spoke to doing the scheduling said " You do realize this would void the warranty ? " I told her its fine do it anyway because what I understand is that it ONLY voids anything to do with the shocks.

But now I'm thinking am I correct ? If the fuel pump or something unrelated goes , Im not screwed am I ???

That being said, should I just have it done somewhere else or still havem do it. Mostly for convenience because I work alot and its real hard to find time.

FAKE NEWS! New shocks won’t void your warranty, and any mod you do would have to be proven it was the root cause of the issue for them to decline warranty work. Ditch the Ranchos and put the Fox’s on.

Surprised the dealer is installing customer supplied parts in the first place. Easy money for them to go ahead and do it.

You got me thinking. I'm blindly going into this thinking this is a 2 hr MAX job. So I called the dealership and asked how long it would take and how much the labor was. They quoted 4 hours @ $175/ hr. LOL . I cancelled . Thank you.

4 hours seems a bit long to me to quote in my opinion. Sure you could find an Indy shop to do it for at least half that.
