Gasser cold air intake

I went with the K&N CAI on my 3500 gasser. I would do it again for the efficiency - it will pay for itself over time. It’s worth noting that the engine noise will be more pronounced, especially in lower RPM bands with any CAI since you’re removing resonator/baffling. Worth it to me for slightly better MPG…

I have ran AFE Cold Air intakes on all my previous gas trucks as well as other vehicles. We have noticed better MPG and better throttle response as well.
I also have put them in non-gas vehicles as well.

What does this do for warranty?
Like any other aftermarket part, if the dealer can prove the part caused the failure they will not warranty it. if you install an intake and your radio is faulty, they will still warranty it. If you install a supercharger and grenade your motor they won’t warranty it.

I guess my main concern is can they say a lifter failed because of the air intake.

My CAI came with the truck, it has the performance package on the sticker. And I'm treated to the "service your air filter" message on every start up until I make it to the dealer for some reason. I tend to avoid the dealerships. I wouldn't spend my cash on that, too many other items that the money could be used on.
