Been waiting on some replacement fogs from Midwest LED. Ordered at the start of June, delivered yesterday.

The fit of the brackets is poor. The actual light throw? Not worth it at all. I wasn’t expecting blinding light but they’re barely better than stock (which isn’t saying much). I believe several companies sell these.

I’ll be going back to OEM tomorrow and will end up buying some cowl lights.

It SUCKS that there really aren’t good lighting options out there. I’m not joking, I’d pay really good money for a light bar and mount that sits behind the grille. And that produces some seriously good light. I don’t have the fab skills for it.

Check these out. Highly recommend, and I big upgrade over oem fogs.

Or these

Also built my own mounts for a 30inch light bar.

Maybe consider a Prolite bumper or insert, or another brand bumper? Bolt on and gives you winch, light bar and fog light mounting. No fabrication involved. I have the HD but same crummy fogs. Tied some Rough Country SAE fogs to a relay and run off the fog light OEM switch. When I turn fogs on I get both.

Even though the SSC2 light mounts turned pink, they're a fantastic upgrade. I expected some additional lighting, but these things REALLY light up in front of the truck and they throw a beam so far out to each side, that you would think it's physically impossible to shine that far on each side.

Rather than send back the mounts for new ones that didn't turn pink, I masked mine off and painted them a satin black. They were pricey, but well worth what I paid.

Check out the two pictures I posted. I’d hardly call it “physically impossible” to produce that kind of light. They’re better. But not worth the $460.

Coming from a Jeep with cowl lights and a 30” light bar - I just expected more.

I agree with you! I bought the same one you have and I wasn't fully impressed. I'm considering selling and replacing with a in grille light bar for when I need extra light.

Assuming that you got the “sport” instead of “pro”. Any idea of how much brighter the “pro” may be?

I did get the pro
That's really odd. Are you sure you had your headlights off and just had your foglights on for comparison? These Diode Dynamics lights throw a ton more light then the OEM foglights.

I will say the customer service that Midsouth LED has, was appalling. There’s actually nothing on the lights that says what they are, no packing slip etc. - so potentially they did send the wrong ones
