I threw factory blacks on mine, it’s been about 5k and they are holding up.
Did yours come black?

Shoot I bout the Matte Black ones off of amazon. Will be putting on soon, Ill let ya'll know how it goes...

I did aftermarket powder coating on my factory bezels and it has held well for the last1.5 years. At a year the factory chrome was already rusting/tarnishing.

You guys are haveing better luck than me. My original chrome rusted. I took them off painted them with black with high temp paint and they rusted. The powder coated ones I bought rusted, that was a waste of $100. Those OG tips are a pita to remove and I’m done messing with them. Dons life has Borla black tips and I’m going to give them a try. I will probably buy an aftermarket steel bumper before I install the Borla tips to mitigate the hassle too. Anyway my experience with those crappy tips.

I took the bumper off to throw the black tips on. Wasn’t too bad.

Hi Kobra,
GMC didn't make it easy to change out the tips. I haven't done it yet, but I think a lot of folks are removing the bumper steps to provide better access to the tips. For this reason alone, I haven't installed my "Pod Holes" yet. I didn't want the dealership A$$ jacking my "Pod Holes" while they are changing out the tips. If they start peeling again, I'll do something else.

Cheers!
