I realize ill never get the real tone of a v8 or v6 but wanted to know if anyone has had any luck with a good exhaust note. Trying to avoid sounding like a Honda ricer but would like to upgrade my system.

Leave it stock (quiet)…the only sound your gonna get with after market is going to sound like your 16.

Trying to avoid being that guy at all costs. just hard to leave exhaust stock but i do agree with you with this engine.

This might be what you're looking for. I've personally never been satisfied with Magnaflow products, however.

I put a Magnaflow dual exhaust on my Tacoma a couple years back. It had a great sound around town and was not too bad on the "flat" highway. So loaded up one week and headed up to Flagstaff. About half way up the mountain my wife was reserving a rental car to drive herself back to Blythe. Anyways, when I got back home the stock muffler, thank goodness I kept it, went back on the truck.
