I am considering Magnaflow Overland or Borla Touring Cat Back Exhaust. Price is nearly identical. Which one would you choose and why?
Borla all day long.I have the Borla and like it. Took a short road trip and you can hear it when you want. Would buy it again.
Add a universal resonator to your current setup (economical option) from Borla or MBRP and it will quiet it down some OR go with the touring or s type full cat back.I installed the Borla ATAK muffler, too loud for my liking. I wish I did the touring muffler (I realize you are doing Cat back).
Yeah, I am just holding off for a bit absorbing the $400. It cost me total. I only did the muffler, I just need to buy/swap out to a touring version. I just sold the stock muffler to someone on the forum. I am sure I can salvage some $$ out of the ATAK.Add a universal resonator to your current setup (economical option) from Borla or MBRP and it will quiet it down some OR go with the touring or s type full cat back.

@roy826ex safe to say the Touring sounds substantially better than stock? How does it sound inside the cab under acceleration?I have the Borla Touring cat back system straight from Borla. Cost me about $1500 and I installed it myself in about 2 full hours. Sounds very good, cold start is loud inside the garage but calms to a rumble pretty quick. No drone at speed and you really only hear it if you mash on the gas to pass or the like. Lost a lot of weight ditching the stock system. The Borla was easy to install (my first every exhaust install on a vehicle) and came well packaged and the clamps were high quality. Instructions were easy to follow eve nfor me.
Way way better than stock not even comparable. You will hear it in the cab with the windows up. Especially when you mash the pedal. Nice rumble just around town. Hot starts sound good also. No drone towing a trailer or anything that would drive one nuts long distance. I thought at first I wanted the S-Type instead of touring but as time went on I realized for me I bought the right system. There are some bad sounding V8s out there with crap systems that are just loud and junky sounding. The Borla sounds like quality. I cannot even detect the DFM even working it always sounds like a V8.@roy826ex safe to say the Touring sounds substantially better than stock? How does it sound inside the cab under acceleration?
Basically I want the Touring so I don't piss off my neighbors on cold start, but I'm worried it will be too quiet inside the cab under acceleration. I WANT to hear my exhaust when I accelerate - that is why I'm buying one. But I don't want to wake everyone up on cold start at 5am.
Other option is S-Type and I'll shove pool noodles in it for those mornings when I go fishing/hunting early...
Glad to hear it! My gut has been telling my Touring is the way to go for me and I think you just confirmed it.Way way better than stock not even comparable.
