Greetings all!
While I await for my truck (26' 1500 AT4 Std Bed) to arrive, I'm working on a pretty extensive shopping list.
I'm starting with a lift, wheels and tires, but obviously an investment like this requires a lot of due diligence.
Here's the plan:
Suspension:
DIrt King MT Trail Running Kit - provides 1.5" in the front
Wheels:
KMC K545 17x9 +0
Tires:
Falken Wildpeak AT4W LT285/75R17 (Load C)
My goal with this combination is zero rub (I'm unsure if I need to delete the mudflap with this setup), a full wheel well and no issues with clearance from the calipers or control arms.
Furthermore, I'm no stranger to LT rates tires, but I've never ran them in a lower PSI. That is, I would run these in the 35-40PSI range (and air up the rear more when towing). Is this a reasonable approach? I'm trying to balance performance, and comfort.
Thanks for any insight!
