Do you drive in 2H, 4H or Auto?

My dealer suggested that I use 2H when driving around town, but in slippery conditions, I should switch to Auto. On a recent 400-mile trip, I noticed that I was achieving higher MPG in Auto than in 2H.

What are your thoughts on using Auto vs. 2H?

2H and if in slippery conditions start out in 2ND gear.
Wife likes to run AUTO and with the auto-locker rear diff when towing livestock trailer in rough trail conditions has less on her mind. One more fantastic thing she loves about GM 4X4 trucks.
