Finished up install of Diamondback HD bed cover. Very pleased with the looks of this cover. Install was easy. NOTE to anyone who buys one of these, be sure and read ALL directions before you start install. The first thing you have to do is remove the OEM bed rail caps and install 4 small hard rubber shims on the underside of each rail. I also added some D shaped 3/8" weather stripping along and under the outside edge to keep dust and water out of the bed. There is also a hidden opening at the top of each front corner that you have to plug up with foam rubber to keep out dust. I also added 2 Extang lights in bed cover, frt and rear, magnetic tool holders, and side storage compartments. Also installed tailgate seal kit to keep out dust and water. First test of the dustproofing will happen when I go to West Texas.
Also intalled Nxtgen spot mirror on drivers side, works well for blind spot.

This stuff works also

I was gonna wait for a 2024 AT4X AEV but, 2023 is the last year for the deep bronze metallic. So I pulled the trigger

I have been looking at these as my buddy with a F250 has one. My only hesitation is if you need your full length bed for something you have to take the whole thing off.

Yep, every option for a bed cover (or not) has a plus and minus factor. I have had a Diamondback cover on my GMC for 8 years and do not regret it. I will admit I also owned another truck without bed cover for a part of that time and took advantage of that but I sill like the Diamondback and will probably get one for my next truck.

I guess they make the switchback that i did not see yet and it looks solid and folds like other covers.

Yep, looks great!!!! I emailed them a couple of months ago and as luck has it, they do not make one for the carbon pro bed. I have been looking at the Stowe which makes one for the carbon pro bed. The Diamondback cover is what i wanted since my GMC cover made by Bakflip got beat up by hail. ..

Love mine. Have the deeper toolbox in it as well and the lights. Great product.

What made you get the HD over the Switchback version? I dont want to be limited on bed size if i need to open it up is my only hesitation.

You can take the back panel off just as easily I feel like and can fit my normal cargo in this way. I have switched from cap and decked system so this is much easier to deal with even if I need to take it out it’s done in 10 minutes…so personal preference I suppose.

Has anyone seen, or know of, a good work around to mount a DiamondBack Cover onto a Carbon Pro bed?

Surely there’s a viable work around that doesn’t compromise the integrity of the bed

I called them a year or so ago because I have a diamondback cover and absolutely want another one on my next truck. They said they had to plans to develop a cover for the carbon bed. I have noticed other manufacturers saying their product won't fit either.

I recently reached out as well and they didn’t elude to any product lines for the Carbon Pro lined beds.

Could the original poster attach images of the install points? I’m trying to wrap my head around possible fixes
