My 2024 truck has 29k miles and yesterday the dash went nuts. I had taken it to the dealer for some peeling Vader Chrome one on the cup holder and one spot on the grill. I brought this to their attention during my oil change visit. They told me I needed a separate appointment for that but that it would be covered under warranty. So this brings me back to yesterday, my dash started flashing to the service driver assist system message. Like a loose wire it was constantly flickering. I took videos and photos in preparation that it wouldn’t of course happen at the dealership. I tried looking it up and see that it’s a common problem, tried pulling a fuse and lettting it reset. That didn’t work. Turned on the lane keeping system. Noticed seat wasn’t vibrating but it would beep. Washed the truck as I thought maybe there was a sensor covered up with some road grime or something. It also flashed to clean rear sensor. Told them all of this. It being under factory bumper to bumper warranty I’m under the impression that it’s GM’s problem. However I got a text that I needed to approve and pay almost 300.00 in diagnostic fees. Anyone else think that’s insane. Like I’m already not pissed enough about this happening with such low miles.

Diag fees are very common. It's to cover their cost in the event the issue is not covered by warranty, You should not be paying it for something that turns out to be a warranty item.

You have a bumper to bumper until 36k. Do you have any mods that go into your fuze box or anything of the sort? Unless you can think of a reason for them to deny warranty you shouldn't be charged.

Refuse to pay it and call the GM line.

So I don’t have any mods yet. Other than amp steps. But they said just what was said above. It was only in case of something that was determined not under warranty. They have a bunch of parts ordered. Had it since last Monday while I was on vacation down in southern Florida. However still not completed.

I've never heard of that before. They are supposed to charge you after they determine it's not covered not before. You should take your truck elsewhere next. Did you get a refund issued yet?

Well it’s back… plus a new one. However the service brake pad monitor, is constant and the other flickers on and off going down the road, noticed it did it while hitting bumps on highway like over bridges etc. even did it parked. When I pushed on the seat where it vibrates it would stop. I think it’s the vibration lane assist system module. Will be visiting the dealer again. Love wasting my time.
